  We arrived in a stormy night which definitely added to the atmosphere. The rooms are spacious but a bit dated. There is WiFi, some kitchen supplies and a fridge. Some architectural choices like a window in the shower are questionable but all in all we had a pleasant stay.

  Initial impressions were low as the staff wasn't at the desk. However once I got their attention they were very friendly and quick to check me in. The actual cabins are quite spacious. Mine had 3 double size beds in two rooms, a full kitchen, and bathroom. The view was fantastic as the place sits overlooking a nearby lake. I'd definitely recommend this as the place to stop for a night or more!... PS the owner told me it was a recent acquisition and so lots of renovations are planned to update the place

  The best thing about the place is definitely the location, right on Dutch Lake with beautiful views all time of day. I would stay here again.

  Value for money: it's ok. It'd probably be ok for a kind of summer-cabin-on-the-lake thing (I was passing through in the winter with my 2 littles). Really strong detergent smell on the beds, which sucks for someone allergic to scents :( The walls are REALLY THIN and I kept hearing talking and some kind of tapping from another room. We stayed in the 2-bedroom suite which was suitable enough, but unfortunately nowhere to relax in the evening except at the kitchen table; not exactly comfy or relaxing.

  We stayed for 2 nights in the Garden rooms. The location is nice and the staff is friendly. The room itself looked neglected, smelled like cat toilet and was small with not much space around the bed to place bags. It also looked like it hasn't been cleaned under the bed for months. Also the bathroom had a bad smell. It is quite shocking that the rooms in this condition are for rent, and also for not too little money.

  Not only a great location for a stop off on the way to Jasper, but a beautiful place to stay. The views over Dutch Lake to Raft mountain are stunning. The rooms are not particularly big or luxurious, but are comfortable and worked well for our family of 5. The owner is welcoming and helpful. The lake is perfect for a refreshing swim on a hot, August day.
